Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity procedures

Technical Toolboxes has a dedicated slack channel for DR communications. https://technicaltoolboxes-hq.slack.com/archives/C036GK5CG59 Additionally TTI has a call-in roster issued to each employee containing home and cell numbers in case of corporate IT service disruptions.

 

Upon discovery of service disruptions notify the following roles:

  • Post an alert in the disaster_recovery channel in slack (above) using @here to push alert/notification

  • ISO (ensure security posture is intact and restoration of services are done in a secure manner)

  • Application Architect (ensure system components are available and properly configured)

  • Controller (if required for additional billing/account issues)

  • CEO (awareness and customer messaging on ETR)

 

Data retention of backups is set to a default of 180 days, but is configurable based on Client’s requirements.
